Before he ascended to the afterlife
Ambassador Malik el Shabazz said
“of all our studies,
history is best qualified
to reward our research”
and we, of the Afterlife Consortium
of Negro Historians,
completely concur.
Before we delve deeper
into the matter underpinning this story
let us take a few lines
to introduce ourselves
and share a little bit
about our afterlife.
As is the case with every soul
who ascended here
we were completely shocked
to find out that our afterlife exist
on a planet deep in space
called The Ancestral Land.
Things being what they were
and we soon adapted
also like all of the souls up here.
